Dietary Aide/Clerk                Nutritional Services                F/T (72pp)
The Dietary Aide/Clerk follows department procedure for tray assembly; utilizes weights and measures to assure proper portioning; assists on tray line and delivers trays to patients; follows all departmental procedures in preparation of diets for all patients; has basic knowledge in Nutrition Therapy and agrees to take three (3) Nutrition Therapy sessions with the Registered Dietitian; follows all sanitation & food safety guidelines; has ability to operate cash register; assists in training of new staff; attends department specific in-service programs and mandatory hospital wide programs; uses written and verbal communication skills effectively and considerately.
Experience: Knowledge and experience working with computers.  Basic experience with Nutrition Therapy a plus.
Education:  High School graduate or equivalent GED.

Teacher’s Aide                       Bellows Falls Day Care                P/D
The Teacher’s Aide follows a strict policy of confidentiality; interacts with and supervises children making sure children’s needs are met; acts as a team player with teachers; maintains professionalism at all times; continues to improve as a professional in the field of child care; and ensures facility is clean. 
Experience – Experience with children a plus
Education – High School Diploma or Equivalent.  Course(s) in Child development preferred.

Receptionist                    Springfield Urology            F/T (72pp) M-F
The Receptionist demonstrates the ability to organize the office efficiently and effectively; operates and maintains office equipment; contributes to a pleasant and cooperative team environment; cross trains in all areas of reception; accurately and expeditiously registers patients; responds to requests for information, both patient specific as well as practice specific; accurately prepares and maintains patient charts.
Experience:  Six months to one year customer service/clerical, including computer operation.
Education:  High School Diploma

Receptionist                    SMCS Practices                P/D

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Aide        Cardiopulmonary                P/D
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the implementation of a treatment plan, designed by the medical director and pulmonary rehabilitation coordinator, according to the principles and practice of Pulmonary Rehabilitation.  This includes continuous assessment of the patient’s progress in conjunction with the coordinator, collaborative consultation with other health professionals on the rehab team and timely maintenance of medical records.  Participation in departmental quality improvement activities, community outreach and program development is also required.
Experience:  Minimum of one year experience respiratory therapy, hospital, or health education.
Education:  LNA or PTA or CRT
Credentials:  BLS certification.

Ultra Sonographer            Diagnostic Imaging                     F/T (80pp) 2nd shift
The Ultra Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures; performs daily check of work area; performs department ancillary functions; provides education; maintains professionalism and qualities consistent with an ultrasound technologist.
Experience – Must have a knowledge base and experience to work independently.
Education - Graduate of a School of Diagnostic Sonographer or proven competence through on-the-job training and specialized courses with ARDMS Certification in good standing.

Physical Therapist                Physical Therapy                      F/T & P/T
Looking for part/full-time experienced physical therapist to join our Rehabilitation Department. Off site out patient clinic, inpatient located at the Hospital, and aquatic therapy in our new town Recreation Center offer a varied caseload of orthopedic, post-surgical, neurologic, vestibular, and more. Manual skills are a plus.  Must be licensed or license eligible in the State of Vermont.

Medical Technologist/MLT            Laboratory                                                 P/D
A Certified medical technologist has an understanding of the underlying scientific principles of laboratory testing as well as of the many factors which affect health and disease; recognizes the importance of proper test selection, causes of discrepant test results.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology with MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification or Certification as MLT (ASCP) and MT (HHS) minimum. Certification: MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
Experience: One year general lab experience preferred.  Medical Lab Technician or a Certified Lab Technician with state required certification and one year general lab experience will also be considered.

Phlebotomist                    Laboratory                    P/D
The Phlebotomist, confirming patient ID, utilizes proper venipuncture/capillary techniques for specimen collection; accurately labels specimens to ensure accurate patient results; properly processes specimens to ensure specimen integrity; manages specimen accessioning accurately and efficiently to provide quality specimens for laboratory testing; provides customer service by answering broad technical questions, and directing others to appropriate resources; interacts effectively and compassionately with patients; and works cooperatively with others to optimize job performance and foster working relationships.
Experience:  Three years previous Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Licensure:  Phlebotomy Certification

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant     Hospitalist                           F/T (80pp)
The NP/PA provides safe therapeutic care in holistic and systemic way to include the assessment and overall care management of a specified patient population under the supervision of an MD.  Duties include but are not limited to, exercising independent judgment, assessment and diagnosis in the initiation of medical processes and procedures.  Communicates effectively, works cooperatively with others and has respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines; utilizes standards, guideline, and protocols for care delivery.
Experience:  One to three years of clinical experience with primary care management of patient population.
Education:  Bachelors in Nursing, and Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of post masters certificate program for nurse practitioner or completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
Licensure:  Adult or Family NP Certificate RN; Certification for advanced practice; PA Assistant, Licensed (or eligible for licensing) in VT

NURSING OPPORTUNITIES

Registered Nurse                Child Birth Center                        P/D

The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process in the delivery of patient care for a specified group of patients on a designated shift following department specific expectations that may include Neonates, Adolescents, and Adults.  Will demonstrate the skills delineated on the orientation/competency checklist; collect health data about women and newborns and use written and verbal communications skills effectively and considerately.
Experience:  One year of previous Medical/Surgical or maternity experience preferred.
Education:  Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, Current with AHA Healthcare Provider’s CPR Course.  BSN Preferred. 
Licensure:  Vermont Nursing License

Registered Nurse                   Surgical Services                                   F/T (64pp)
Utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of patient care on his/her unit for a specified group of patients on a designated shift; uses written, verbal and communication skills effectively and considerately; promotes compassionate, efficient, safe, cost-effective and quality patient care; incorporates teaching principles into practice; demonstrates qualities consistent with the role of a registered nurse.
Experience:  One year Medical/Surgical experience required.  One year Operating Room experience preferred.
Education:  Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure:  BLS; CNOR preferred.

Registered Nurse             Emergency Department                                 F/T (72pp)
The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of patient care on his/her unit for a specified group of patients on a designated shift; uses written, verbal and communication skills effectively and considerately; promotes compassionate, efficient, safe, cost-effective and quality patient care; incorporates teaching principles into practice; demonstrates qualities consistent with the role of a registered nurse; demonstrates the minimum knowledge, skills and abilities for age specific populations; maintains a knowledge base for role in ALL HAZARDS Event.
Experience:  One year basic Medical/Surgical experience required.  Previous Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred.
Education:  Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure:  ACLS, BLS, RN, ENPC/PALS, TNCC. 

Licensed Nursing Assistant            Emergency Dept.                P/D
The LNA under the direction of the RN will perform identified tasks relevant to patient care that are reflected in established protocols and competencies that have been approved by Springfield Hospital and within the LNA scope of practice as delineated by Vermont State Board of Nursing.  The LNA will take responsibility for maintaining or increasing knowledge base in area of practice; will demonstrate the minimum knowledge in skills, responsibilities for age specific populations; function as part of the team to provide primary support to the ED patients; will understand and support the policies of Springfield Hospital as they pertain to the role of pre-hospital/EMS, fire and rescue; support the role of the ED receptionist and assist in the registration of the ED patients; will function in a calm and professional manner when faced with times of crisis within the department.
Experience:  Previous health care experience desirable.
Education:  High school diploma or GED, Successful participation in approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistants.  BLS
Licensure:  VT Nursing Assistant License
