July 9th - Sibling Class
Sibling Class is a one-hour class for families expecting a new baby. Education is offered on how to adapt to a new baby in the family. The class includes infant behaviors, a video, and a ChildBirth Center tour. Have your child bring a stuffed toy or doll to weigh. Classes are held 5-6 pm in the Springfield Hospital Library. July 11th - Childbirth Education Class
Taught by a Certified Childbrith Educator, this class is designed to prepare women and their partners for the labor and birth process. Parents are encouraged to sign up for this class, 2-3 months in advance of their due date. Bring 2 pillows and your lunch. Cost for this class will be $81.20. Classes are at Springfield Hospital, 9am—5pm. To register, call Sandy at 885-7686.

July 20th - Refresher Childbirth Education Class
Participants are encouraged to bring two pillows and a partner. Cost for class will be $37.90. Classes are at Springfield Hospital, 6 pm—8 pm. To register, call Sandy at 885-7686.

July 27th - Breastfeeding Education Class - This is an opportunity for you to meet Springfield Hospital’s Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Sally Pennington, RN, IBCLC. Learn about breastfeeding facts, early feeding cues, positioning, and watch an educational video about breastfeeding. This class offers time for questions and answers in a group setting, raffles, and take home information. Classes are held at Springfield Hospital, 5:00pm-6:30pm.

Taught by a Certified Childbrith Educator, this class is designed to prepare women and their partners for the labor and birth process. Parents are encouraged to sign up for this class, 2-3 months in advance of their due date. Bring 2 pillows and your lunch. Cost for this class will be $81.20. Ready-Set-Stop Smoking Cessation Classes (weekly class)
Springfield Hospital Library - FREE
This six-week session includes weekly meetings to learn about the health effects of nicotine, NRT replacement options, and health benefits after stopping smoking. NRT is available, free of charge, to all Vermont residents who attend the class. Stress management, nutrition, and help with cravings are offered within the course. Materials are given as the class proceeds to its conclusion. The facilitator is Terri Daniels, RRT.
