Springfield, VT - Tim Mello, PA-C, of CT Valley Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Springfield, VT, will present a FREE educational seminar on signs, symptoms, and treatment options for arthritis. The event will take place on February 8th at the Springfield Senior Center.
The 2009 Vermont Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System reports that 137,000 of all adult Vermonters (29%) have arthritis, with women having a higher prevalence than men. The report further details that of all adults with arthritis, 45% have activity limitation, 30% report work limitation, 11% report social participation restriction, and 19% report severe joint pain as a result of their arthritis.
Please join us for this free public event, to learn more about arthritis and how those living with this chronic condition can better manage their symptoms. This program is offered as part of the educational Healthy Aging Series and will take place on Tuesday, February 8th, from 10 - 11 am at the Springfield Senior Center. No registration is necessary.
