Sign Up Now For Ballroom Dancing

Springfield Hospital is pleased to announce the start up of Ballroom Dancing Classes that will be held on Tuesday nights, starting January 13, 2009 for 8 weeks. Classes will be at the Studio Time and Space, 55 Main Street (at the back of the former Furman’s Dept. Store) in Springfield, VT and will be taught by Jenny Gelfan.

The Introduction to Ballroom Dancing will be held, 7-8pm. Dancers will learn a bit of swing, Latin and ballroom dancing. This class is about having more fun dancing with a partner. You will dance easy steps and styles to popular music. If you have never danced, or are a bit rusty, this is the class for you. You will learn swing, waltz, meringue, foxtrot, and maybe a bit of tango and/or rumba.

The Continuation Ballroom Dancing class will be held 6-7pm. This class is for more experienced dancers and you will learn more steps and try more dance styles. We may try some cha-cha, salsa/mambo, fast waltz, and samba. This class is tailored more to the skill and interest of the participants.
