Breast Cancer Support Group
This support group meets monthly at Springfield Hospital - Room A-2. All are invited to attend. For additional information on times and guest speakers, please contact Nancy Thibodeau, RN, BSN, Breast Care Coordinator, Springfield Hospital at 885-7584.
Breastfeeding Education & Support Group
Breastfeeding Support Group meets on the second Monday of the month,1:00 - 2:30 pm in the Meeting House of Springfield Hospital. Sally Pennington, RN, Lactation Consultant is facilitating this group.This support group offers information and mother-to-mother support to breastfeeding and pregnant women. The discussion for each meeting is flexible, depending on the needs of the women attending. Questions relating to all aspects of breastfeeding and parenting are welcome regardless of the meeting topics. Some of the topics covered will include avoiding common breastfeeding problems, when to start solid foods, and issues surrounding weaning. Pregnant mothers and mothers with their babies are welcome.
